Alanya is one of the warmest and sunniest cities in Türkiye. According to statistics, the sun shines here approximately 345 days a year. The unique geographical position of the Taurus Mountains protects the city from cold northern winds.

Cleopatra Beach has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag every year since 1987 — an international recognition granted by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) to beaches that meet 33 strict criteria. These include environmental quality, safety, water cleanliness, and public information.

Thanks to this award, Cleopatra Beach is extremely popular among tourists. The beach is equipped with facilities such as restrooms, drinking water access, lifeguard stations, and first aid services.

According to legend, the Roman Emperor Mark Antony gifted this beach to his beloved Cleopatra. She fell in love with this place — the turquoise sea surrounded by cedar forests and cliffs fascinated her. However, the natural sand was not to her liking, so according to legend, special sand was brought from the Nile Valley. Today, the beach consists of a mix of sand and small pebbles, and thanks to its coarse grains, the water remains crystal clear.

The entrance to the sea is generally easy. On the left side, near the slope, it is sandy, while on the right side there are small pebbles, rocky areas, and concrete platforms that may appear after storms. The sea deepens quite quickly, so families with small children and non-swimmers should be cautious.

Alanya is one of the warmest holiday destinations in Türkiye. The sea warms up quickly, making it possible to swim from mid-May until November.

Damlataş Cave, located at Cleopatra Beach, is famous for its air rich in nitrogen and oxygen. Inside the cave, the temperature remains constant at 22°C throughout the year, with 95% humidity and stable air pressure. It is known for helping with asthma, seasonal allergies, and even skin conditions such as psoriasis. Many tourists visit the area specifically for the 21-day therapy program.

In the center of Alanya, close to Cleopatra Beach, you will find picturesque parks with fountains, scenic walking paths overlooking the historic castle, some of the best playgrounds in the city, and a cable car that takes you up the mountain to explore the ancient heritage of the city.
